The Goddess Ceremony Experience - a sacred container for sisterhood, connection and surrender // Directed by Liana Carbone, co-facilitated by Jade Maya Gabriele, assisted by Alessia Pizzanelli. An art experience that consciously guides women coming together and holding space for one another to express and honour their light and their shadow while documenting the process of transforming pain into power.. Celebrating this process of inner alchemy, subverting shame of the body, dissolving wounds we carry that keep us from truly uniting and capturing the art of it all.
In its early stages Carbone held the vision and shared it with fellow photographer Pizzanelli as she imagined her gentle grace supporting the project on set. As Carbone began to understand the depth of this work she shared the vision with Gabriele as her embodiment work achieved through her studies of sacred dances of the world serves as a mirror for radical self acceptance and connection. Her work was needed to co-create the container needed for this work with women. The project was not rehearsed or staged. All scenes are shot by Carbone in one take, capturing the raw essence of inner work in a sacred container of women.
While Carbone was hosting a "Scentual Healing" Scent workshop event led by Montreal perfumer Dana El Masri at HAVEN creative space, in came Cherizar Walker, a woman holding a vision to produce a transformative photo shoot experience for her circle of cherished women.. Within the first two sentences exchanged Cherizar understood she arrived at the right place and Carbone understood she was being called to bring the shared vision to life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We are women on our path to healing and embodying our raw essence, accepting all of ourselves, our shadow and our light. Our mission with this project is to highlight the power and potential for shifting collective consciousness through transformative group experiences, discuss the age of the divine feminine and its impact on our culture and to inspire others to step into this space of radical self acceptance and love within and without.⠀⠀⠀
This short film produced in 2019 at HAVEN creative space is accompanied by a photo series. It is the artists intention to have a public exhibition with this work as well as to take the experience on tour to various cities around the globe.
